Your wedding morning will go so quickly. It can soon turn into chaos without the right amount of planning in advance. Turning you from a chilled out to overwhelmed within minutes.

So to help you prepare for your wedding morning, I’m sharing some tips as well as a simple checklist that you can save or pin and refer to closer to the day.

1.STAY HYDRATED & EAT BREAKFAST

Make sure you have a big breakfast or brunch on the morning of your wedding day. Schedule this time into your timeline and ensure that you organise this to be catered. This is a great task to outsource to one of your bridal party to arrange on your behalf or perhaps bring over the morning of. Drink plenty of water to ensure you stay hydrated too. So plan and organise what your eating prior so you don’t need to think about it on the day.

2.HAVE YOUR WEDDING DAY TIMELINE HANDY

Ensure that your timeline has been created and sent to everyone prior so all of your bridal party, vendors and family know of key timings. Make a print out of your timeline and have this where you are getting ready so it can be easily referred to. If you have an On the Day Coordinator, they will ensure the timeline is communicated to key vendors, be the main contact for your vendors, including your venue and family on the day and ensure everything runs smoothly.

3.DETAILS OUT FOR YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Place your details out the night before ready for your photographer to capture so then you don’t have to go looking for them while you are in the midst of getting ready.

4.PACK PRIOR

If you are staying at a different location to where you are getting ready, pack your bag the night before so this is ready to just take when you depart to go to your ceremony.

5.GET READY IN ONE PLACE

Stay in one location- try to limit your traveling preferably have everyone come to your location to get ready or if you do need to travel to get hair or makeup done ensure that you add this time with an extra allowance for traffic into the timeline.

6. LEAVE THE DETAILS TO THE EXPERTS

Set up of your wedding elements- take the pressure off and allocate the detail to someone with experience that understands your vision. You have spent months planning the details, it’s now time to hand over to an On the Day Coordinator to set up & style it just the way you envisioned.

The key is to ensure that you have a really detailed timeline with everything factored in including travel time. Outsourcing is essential! Preparation is key. So the only thing on your agenda is to eat, relax and get ready for your big day.

Happy Planning,
